Flafi Bird

Flafi Bird is published and ready to play. It has everything on your list and works with SPACE, mouse click or screen tap. I haven't played it myself yet.

• Speed: pipes speed up as your score climbs, up to a cap, and the gaps shrink slightly too.
• Best score: it's saved in your browser's local storage. If storage is blocked, the game still runs but won't remember your best score.
• Sound: the sound effects are synthesized, so there are no audio files. Browsers only allow sound after your first tap or keypress, so audio starts then.
• Game over: hitting a pipe or the ground flashes the screen, and the bird tumbles to the ground. The Game Over card then shows Score, Best Score and a "Play Again" button, plus a "New Best!" badge when you beat your record. Pressing Enter also restarts.
• Small extras: SPACE and the Up arrow both flap, the canvas scales to fit any screen size, and the page follows your light or dark mode setting.
